Cappuccino Skim
Mmm! I am now hooked on Nestlé Australia's Cappuccino Skim sachets (yes, it has to be skim) thanks to my sister, Kati. "Rich and creamy yet 99% fat free" and it really does taste good!!!

Where the *@#$ is Bruges?
(it's in Belgium)
Ha, loved that bit...
and I loved the movie. I wasn't too sure what it was about in the opening scenes, but it turns out to be quite sad/funny and a little gross at times...
Go see it.

Sewing Attempts: Skirts
Okay, so maybe chiffon and a frill isn't the best first attempt idea. Nevertheless I (as in Mum and I) made 2 wearable skirts. I sewed the majority. It's great fun. I just need to buy some thicker elastic and you shall see me wearing these!!
Next on my sewing attempt list: Another skirt - fitted this time. I am told it is easier. We shall soon see. hehe

What a week
So far my house was invaded by tiny little children from Queensland and beyond - This being my sister and my nephews Isaac and Jack, then my brother and Danni with their entourage Tomi, Thomas, Ava and Jess came for a visit. My room was packed full 'o' fun stuff. Beads flying everywhere from the girls and Jack while the other 3 played the play station and hogged the bed.
I love it.
Then the weekend struck me down with a twisted/sprained ankle. Last few minutes of the final game before the Semi Finals. Not. Cool. Currently my RIGHT foot is swollen and blue. If it was my left I guess it would have been better as I would be able to drive - but no. That would be too easy. Ha!
I guess it will all be okay in the end... but until then, I will suck it up and love being waited on.
Where is my bell, I need a coffee.
In other news...
My mannequin arrived in the post today! I am so excited. Mum and I assembled her and she looks marvelous. I can't wait to get started. I am currently thinking of a name for her.
I have also been told that I am attending a wedding in 2 weeks (well the 8th August). One of Chris's friends has come back from Germany to get married so it should be fun! I was KIND OF hoping I would get to buy a new dress - but with little notice, my great budgeting (so far!) and this ankle - I might have to give it a miss and wear a dress I already own. Shock. Horror.
But then again, I might change my mind and blame the weather for me having to buy a new dress.
I love it.

A much needed ebay purchase
Honest. I REALLY did need this. Plus, my mum always wanted one - so its like a gift in a way, right?
I can't wait to get started on some of my designs. It sure will be interesting! I also really need to try out those patterns Jenny lent me awhile ago. I am such a slacker.

Oops she did it again
No, not Britney... me.
I really have been saving my dollars. I haven't purchased anything that was not on the 'necessary' list. I have also been taking lunch AND coffee to work. I think The Coffee Man might not like me as much anymore. I was a regular.

Miss Universe
Congratulations to Miss Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza...
My picks from the top 10 2008 contestants: Miss Australia, Miss Colombia and Miss Kosovo.
I obviously had to go check out the other girls we didn't really get to see... Just look at Miss Finland's national costume... it looks like it came right out of a Chanel show. So cute!
And as soon as I saw Miss Singapore, my mouth dropped. I have sketched this dress!
And last buy not least, Miss Thailand received best national costume... However my vote goes to Miss Brazil.
Stunning!

The axe finally falls...
When I signed into MSN and the "Live Today" window opens - What do I see....
"After eight successful seasons and 1,316 episodes, Ten today announced that Big Brother will not be returning in 2009," the Network Ten statement reads. "The 2008 season finale will air on Monday 21 July."
FINALLY. That's all I can say.
Also, check out the new Beads by Aadore blog where I will post updates regarding my jewellery and other crafts that are starting to itch at the surface (I need more hours in a day - seriously).
Also, be watching Arena at 8:30pm - Project Runway. Yeah, it's not as good as the others, but I am totally obsessing over Petrova! I hope she wins.

Happy First of July and Canada Day
I have my heater so high in my room it feels like Summer. It truly is awesome!
I am disappointed about the outcome of tonights Final epsiode of Australia's Next Top Model. Like Kirstie Clements said "We have standards here at Vogue...". I wonder what the article will be about.
PS. It better not be the September issue... and well done Charlotte.
Ahhh Dramas... I just can't wait for Americas Next Top Model! hehe
I'm going to go back to sipping my Miso Soup, Dexter and jewellery making.

Date for Diary: Coloured Shoe Day
Netball. We won! So whats new?! hehe.
Nicole rolled her ankle though... damn netball injuries. Hopefully she can play this Saturday.
And it is official - we ARE in the Semi Finals. Go Team Flamingos!
It is officially 'Coloured Shoe Day' on the 1st of July. (Basically all you need to do is wear a pair of coloured shoes for the day, hehe.) Now watch it spread through the world! o_O
I am also going to be advertising in the September issue of VOGUE Australia. Hooray!
Keep an eye out for my advert :)
I will leave you with some Pon and Zi, just because, well, I love them. It reminds me of the line from Horton Hears a Who! when Katie (The fluffy thing, whatever she is) says: "In my world, everyone's a Pony and they eat Rainbows and poop butterflies...... aaahhhhhhhh".... Enjoy!
Love.

Budgeting, shoes and money
Turns out I spend roughly $4900 a year on fashion items... $1200 of that is on shoes alone!! Wow. What an eye opener and heart breaker.
Speaking of money, I ended up getting those pink/black shoes and they were delivered to my door this evening! They are beautiful and fit like a dream.
I am also waiting for some Avon Mineral Make-up to arrive. I am so excited. I have been watching those infomercials lately and they have me convinced that mineral make-up is God. We will soon find out! I really hope I got the right colour though - my usual one is buff beige and they had buff and beige as different options! (note to self: research making own mineral make-up).
I will also take this entry to announce shoobiz massive, manic sale!

The Last Sitting
It's old news, but I thought I would post it anyway.
"Stern chose the self-described Marilyn fanatic for the classic shots because he suspected Lindsay "had a lot more depth to her" than one might think."
(bahahahahaha...)
Hrmm, being a fan of Marylin and not Lindsay of course my opinion is bias...
I wonder if her next episode will be on the cover of playboy a la Monroe.
On another note! I have added a new pair of shoes to my ebay watch list:
I hope I win - Last time I bid on a pair of shoes, I was out bid and I was truly devastated!

Rain, Rain go away
Coming from my sisters house in Queensland and 27 degree weather back to a rainy wet overcast Sydney is kind of depressing. It so nice up there... and not to mention the shopping! I. Love. Harbourtown. An hour into the 4.5hr shopping trip, Kati realised what she had done. Tina and I can spend hours in a shopping center, going into almost every shop - You never know where you will find for a bargain!
And speaking of bargains, $5 Mambo Dress and Skirt. Insane! We were in stitches from laughting. Something that costs $15 was now too expensive.
Anyway, I came back with a few things *innocent* that I had to squish into my little suitcase (Note to self: Take an empty suitcase!) hehe.
Here are a few photos (that aren't tops of heads or teddy shots by Jack, tee hee):
Ahhhhh.... I miss them.

Bamboo Tiles
I bought some Bamboo Tiles from ebay last night. I reaaaaaally wanted to try and make some pendants. I have everything else I need (that I know) and I have been looking for the tiles in art shops around here, but no-one seems to know what I am talking about - even if I bring a picture!
Anyway, this is what they look like:
And this is what I hope to make!
Jealous Much!
