Maxim Top 10 - from 100 Hottest Women
What do you think of the Top 10. I agree with some... I like Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie and I think Scarlett Johansson is quite pretty, but the rest... hrmm?!?!
Christina Aguilera in GQ Magazine
I like Christina's new classy and elegant image (even though there is still 'dirrty' in her). I also think she's way past the Britney/Christina comparison... Christina is obviously in the lead. Her Monroe-esque in the photo below is pretty much spot on. Now im undecided on who has done Marilyn better: Christina or Kate...

Eurovision Song Contest 2006 - Winners
Love it. Finland's Lordi won Eurovision with 42% of the votes! Finally!!!
From the press conference after the show...
"For the millionth time, we’re not Satanists or devil worshippers," he said. "This is entertainment. The masks are like our calling card and we’ll never perform without them. It would be like Santa Claus handing a child his gifts and Christmas time and then pulling off his beard and saying, 'By the way, I’m your father…' "
Here was my fav (apart from Finland of course)...

"AngloMania"
"AngloMania", the Costume Institute exhibition that is open from this month, from May 1 through to September 4, in the English period rooms of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
AngloMania focuses on British fashion from 1976 to 2006, a period of astounding creativity and experimentation. Over the past 30 years, British fashion has been defined by a knowing and self-conscious historicism. In their search for novelty, designers have looked to past styles with an appetite that is as audacious as it is rapacious. Focusing on their postmodern, historicizing tendencies, this exhibition presents a series of tableaux based on Britain’s rich artistic traditions. The irony of satirical prints, the romance of landscape paintings, and the glamour and bravado of grand manner portraits are evoked through a wide spectrum of British designers. The exhibition is set in the Metropolitan Museum’s English period rooms—the Annie Laurie Aitken Galleries—to create a potent dialogue between the past and the present.
- Metropolitan Museum of Art
Historic English costumes will be juxtaposed with the work of fashion and accessory designers including Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Hussein Chalayan, Stephen Jones, Philip Treacy, and Manolo Blahnik. The exhibition is underwritten by Burberry (celebrating its 150th anniversary this year), a company that literally clothed the British Empire with ineffably practical, weather-resistant garments and that is now enjoying a design renaissance under the fashion direction of Yorkshire-born Christopher Bailey.

MAFW Spring Summer 06/07 - Part 5
Material Boy
Definately not for the faint hearted. Its a "Wear it if you dare" kind of collection.
Fang
You have a choice from either something white or something black - that doesn't mean I hate it, nor does it mean I love it.
Keucke
A little unusual but never the less an interesting collection. The girl in the blue dress is Aboriginal model Samantha Harris - who is apprently taking the world by storm at only 15 years of age.
Olive Clothing
Love it! Love it! Love it!
Shilo
An interesting and pointless collection; Although, that was a good idea for a swimsuit-dress. I wonder if you swim with it on?! and What is that Purple thing - It looks like a graduation outfit worn around the hip?!?!! - Very perculiar.
Syaiful
Not a huge collection, but a detailed and appealing one.
Verduci-Smith
Love your frills and kaftans? Then this is the stuff for you!
Woolliwoolli
Simple but wearable collection. I like the split on the back of the white dress.
Five - By Sydney TAFE Design Studio
I chose my favourites from each of the Design Students Collections. Well done to all of them.
